THE FOURTH TRANSNATIONAL MEETING WAS HELD IN BARCELONA, SPAIN

The fourth transnational meeting for the I-BEE-VR project was realized in Barcelona, Spain on September 3-4, 2019, hosted by Polytechnical University of Catalunia. The agenda of the meeting is as follows:

In the meeting, Work Package 3, Output 3 was finalized and the planning for the next Work Package was done. All the modules prepared for the intended course are discussed in detail and revisions are suggested. The warm welcome and hospitality of our colleagues from Polytechnical University of Catalunia created a great atmosphere where all the thoughts of our partners are shared and working collaboratively makes all the team members feel closer and more enthusiastic.

THIRD TRANSNATIONAL MEETING WAS HELD IN KRAKOW, POLAND

The third Transnational Meeting was hosted by University of Krakow, Poland. It was a two-day meeting with detailed discussions and presentations on the outputs finalized. In the meetings, the needs analysis part, its results and discussions are made and the upcoming work package was discussed in detail. The route of the project is planned and the team enjoyed Polish hospitality and its welcoming sun.

THE FIRST CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN KRAKOW, POLAND

The first International Conference of the project Immersive Business and Engineering English in Virtual Reality: A tool for the Sustainable Mobility of the Skilled Workforce in the EU (I-BEE-VR) called Teaching Business and Engineering English in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities was hosted by Pedagogical University of Krakow in Krakow, Poland on June 13-14, 2019. During the conference, the English needs of the engineers, the problems and opportunities encountered in this subject were discussed in panels and presentations, and this conference; in addition to realizing the aim of disseminating the project, has become an international platform for sharing information for participants and project partners.

Second Transnational Project Meeting Held in Vienna

The second Transnational Project Meeting of the project “Immersive Business and Engineering English in Virtual Reality: A tool for the Sustainable Mobility of the Skilled Workforce in the EU (I-BEE-VR)” was hosted by the partner of the project University of Vienna on 18-19 February, 2018 in University of Vienna in Vienna/Austria.

AGENDA & DECISIONS MADE:

On the first day of the meeting, it was aimed to concentrate on the “Needs Analysis”. The survey instrument and the Curriculum Analysis Tool and also the observation document are discussed.

  • The Curriculum Analysis Tool is discussed in detail and it is given its final shape.
  • The deadlines for submitting the results of data analysis are determined.
  • The details about data collection (the number of participants, the deadlines, the responsible team for the analysis) are discussed.
  • The National Reports will be sent to the coordinating institution by 30thof April. The template for this report will be submitted by University of Vienna.
  • The Cumulative Report will be ready by mid-May.
  • Various documents regarding the project manual and task descriptions were handed out to the participants, additionally official documents such as attendance sheets, individual travel report etc. were signed by the participants.
  • The issues about the observation are discussed and the guideline is determined.

On the second day of the meeting, it was aimed to concentrate on the publications planned and the forthcoming conference in Krakow.

  • The agenda for the 3rdTransnational Meeting is determined. In the third Transnational Meeting the groundwork for curriculum development and syllabus design will be discussed.
  • A session for the syllabus design is planned for the meeting in Krakow.
  • The questions related to the conference in Krakow are answered and the final decisions are made.
  • Evaluation Questionnaires were handed out and filled out by all the participants.
  • Certificates of Attendance were given to each participant.
